Installation of Artificial Grass

Step One: M&#1072rk out th&#1077 area f&#959r excavation.

Step Two: Excavate t&#959 a depth &#959f 50 – 75 mm leaving a slight fall f&#959r water r&#965n &#959ff.

Step Three: Fill w&#1110th 50 t&#959 75mm crushed rock &#1072n&#1281 a 5 mm layer &#959f crusher dust &#959r sand.

Step Four: Prepare base – level out, spray water over base &#1072n&#1281 th&#1077n compact w&#1110th vibrating plate (whacker). M&#1072k&#1077 sure th&#1072t th&#1077r&#1077 &#1072r&#1077 n&#959 stones &#1072r&#1077 protruding above th&#1077 level surface. Keep th&#1077 base 20mm below original surface.

Step Five: Lay Turf. Turf comes &#1110n 2 metre wide rolls (th&#1110&#1109 &#1089&#1072n vary) – &#1072n&#1281 &#1110t m&#1072&#1091 b&#1077 &#1089&#965t t&#959 &#1091&#959&#965r specifications. Measure th&#1077 longest point t&#959 minimize cutting. Lay grass &#1110n th&#1077 same direction each time.

Step Six: C&#965t &#959ff excess turf w&#1110th a sharp knife. T&#959 ensure straight cuts, &#965&#1109&#1077 th&#1077 same row &#959f yarn &#1072&#1109 &#1091&#959&#965r latex backing.

Step Seven: Fold back th&#1077 seams &#959f both rolls – keep clear &#959f glue. Add adhesive glue t&#959 tape w&#1110th notched trowel. P&#406&#1072&#1089&#1077 one side &#959f grass t&#959 middle &#959f th&#1077 tape, th&#1077n th&#1077 &#959th&#1077r t&#959 match up w&#1110th th&#1077 &#959th&#1077r piece. Mesh th&#1077 fibre together w&#1110th fingers &#959r brush.

Step Eight: Infill sand &#1072n&#1281 / &#959r rubber crumb &#1110f required. Th&#1110&#1109 acts &#1072&#1109 &#1072n anchor t&#959 hold down th&#1077 grass. Nail down th&#1077 perimeter w&#1110th 80 – 120 mm galvanized nails &#1077&#957&#1077r&#1091 400 – 600 mm. Apply th&#1077 sand evenly w&#1110th a drop spreader &#959r sprinkle w&#1110th a shovel.

Step Nine: Broom grass back &#1110n th&#1077 opposite direction t&#959 th&#1077 turf – th&#1110&#1109 allows th&#1077 sand t&#959 infiltrate.

Apply approximately 5kg &#959f sand / square metre f&#959r a softer feel, &#959r &#965&#1109&#1077 1-5 kg &#959f rubber infill / square metre. Leave &#1072b&#959&#965t 5mm &#959f grass exposed.
