The Right Soil and Site Preparation Are the Key Ingredients of a Successful New Lawn

The best way to ensure you have a beautiful lawn is to prepare your soil and perform the proper site preparation before the lawn is seeded. The steps taken include rock, stump and other debris removal, rough grading, tilling of the soil, adding additional topsoil and compost and then testing the soil and making needed soil adjustments. Final grading is then performed and a lawn roller is used to firm up the surface prior to planting the chosen grass seed.
