Grading For Your New Lawn
These are instructions from a landscape professional on how to final grade the ground before installing a new lawn. The basic steps for grading a lawn area are the same whether you are installing sod or seed. The grade needs to be at least one and one half inches lower than the borders or hard surfaces surrounding the lawn area. You will need a square shovel, a 30" wide landscape rake, and a wheel barrow to perform this task.
